Western Strategic Account Manager-Mobile Robots, Denver, Portland, Phoenix, or Seattle – 2894JLS2

Our client is a global leader in the robotic systems product sector and has a staffing need for a Strategic Sales Manager in the Denver, Portland, Phoenix, or Seattle area to grow the company’s mobile robot business within an assigned region and strategic accounts in the eastern US and eastern Canada. This role will be responsible for managing, guiding and mentoring system integrator and sales account managers while utilizing consultative and strategic selling principles to drive automated mobile robot system solutions. The position will report to the Senior Director of North American Sales & Mobile and have daily interface will include Customers, Sales Management, Marketing, Sales Operations, Customer Service and Application Engineering.

Responsibilities:
Meet and exceed regional revenue sales plan and established sales objectives by performing and directing the following sales activities:

  • Maintain and build relationships with system integrators, end users, OEMs, and machine builders.

  • Prospect, qualify and develop new business throughout the territory and promote products through one-on-one and group presentations.

  • Review and evaluate customer RFP's and economic justification of solutions.

  • Identify, influence and define the customers buying criteria while working collaboratively with applications engineering and system integrators to facilitate the best solution.

  • Provide management weekly product booking and revenue forecasts and monthly territory updates including market and customer trends and competitive product feedback.

  • Assist in the development, qualification and follow up on leads generated from regional and national trade shows, direct mail, advertising, and other marketing programs.

  • Own territory activity including the planning and executing of lunch and learn events and private seminars to integrators and end users.

  • Organize and coordinate with applications engineering demonstrations of equipment though road shows, regional trade shows, and integrator/end user site visits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Science) required; MS or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of five (5) years or more of experience in capital equipment sales such as automated material handling equipment or packaging equipment or possess an applications engineering background.

  • Experience working at an automated systems integrator, an AGV company or robotics company is preferred but not needed.

  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve objectives.

  • Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Highly competitive with an intense desire to win.

  • Requires very little day to day supervision and be a leader, a strategic thinker and tactical seller.

  • Successful and proven track record of selling into various levels of an organization from project engineers to manufacturing management to Operations Managers to Executive level.

  • Proven success must be demonstrated by achievement of meeting and exceeding booking and revenue goals for the territory.

  • Experience and proficiency using a SalesForce.com CRM and other standard PC-based applications such as MS Office Suite.

  • Travel requirements may be 50% nights away from home, plus attend regional and national sales meetings. Meetings may require a weekend stay and airline travel.

  • Strong relationship builder and a strong personal desire to win.

  • Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning and communication skills (written and oral).
