Director of Business Development, Seattle, WA – 2883PB

Our client is one of North America’s leading digital experience agencies and global service providers. To join their growing team we are seeking a highly talented Business Development Director. The Business Development Director will be responsible for developing new business in existing managed and new accounts as directed by the VP of Client Services. Some of their clients include the most important and highly recognized brands of the globe, including Microsoft, ATT, Best Buy, Cisco and Xerox.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting and proactively driving sales to meet, or exceed, an annual quota.

  • Closing sales by demonstrating a deep understanding of current and long-term customer needs and proposing an appropriate solution and knowing how to sell the client value proposition.

  • Qualifying leads to turn prospects into opportunities.

  • Generating net new leads through personal network, proactive lead generation based on target list, partner relationships (Hybris, Sitecore, Marketo and Adobe), conferences, marketing events, etc.

  • Upsell business from new and established customer relationships in partnership with Delivery Lead(s) and other core team (Lead Strategist, Experience Lead and Technology Leads).

  • Develop and maintain an exceptional knowledge of services offering especially as it relates to solutions (Hybris, Magento, Sitecore) their features, benefits and technical aspects.

  • Ensure all statements of work are documented, accurate, and implemented.
Search Criteria:
  • 7+ years of technology sales experience, preferably in the ecommerce or digital industries.

  • Experience selling complex technology solutions, to enterprise level B2B and consumer brands.

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding multi-million dollar quotas.

  • Proven record of growing both client and agency businesses.

  • Strong technical aptitude and a desire to stay on top of industry trends.

  • Competency in managing complex teams and client relationships.

  • Experience leading (and winning) agency pitches.

  • Advanced negotiation, communication, analytical, and writing skills.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of accurately communicating progress of revenue to budget forecast to the team throughout the year.

  • Excellent collaborator and team player.

  • A strong network of contacts.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field.
